CH Keesridge Light 'Em Up
"Brynley"
It has been the most difficult decision, but I have decided to place Brynley to the perfect home for her, whenever that may come along.
While she has so very much of what I wanted from Raevyn and Kaos, the things she doesn't, are bigger. Her front assembly did not develop as I was hoping, and that along with other aspects, have contributed to this decision to find her the best possible home.
Another major factor is that she has a wicked prey drive, and she's seriously harassing my cats with risk of danger to them. I can't have that. I also do not have the time she requires to not be destructive, and that breaks my heart.
She is Raevyn's best friend, and is so incredibly sweet, but also very bratty. She has resource guarding issues with her food only, and has to eat her breakfast/dinner either in a crate or other room until everyone is done. She can easily jump 5' straight up, and is stubborn and needing a lot of ongoing training. Other than that, she loves to snuggle in bed, and is fairly easy if someone is with her. It’s only when she’s alone and unsupervised when she’s destructive.
Ideally, I would have her go to someone I know, however she is a difficult placement.
She needs the following:
1. A very large and fenced yard (preferably 6' height) to run in.
2. Someone who is home the majority of the time, as she will need to be crated/contained if you're not, and she'll eat through a wall and/or trim if not in a crate or ex pen with a top.
3. Preferably another dog who she likes, as she loves to play and run.
4. Absolutely no cats or small animals.
5. She can NOT be loose, she chases vehicles up and down my fence line.
You can email me if you may be interested, or know of someone who is at amanda@keesridgekennels.com. I will probably be asking a slight discounted price if she's not spayed before she goes, or regular price if I have her spayed first. Some people don't want/can't do puppies again, and she's fully house trained and up to date on shots.
She is a Canadian champion, and an incredible traveller. She’s also had preliminary hips/elbows tested through OFA (good/normal) and normal knees, so that's an extra bonus.
She loves walks, would do well with someone who will do lure coursing or Sprinter trials with her. She has excellent recall at home, though that will require training from scratch in her new home.
I have to consider my entire pack and home life when making this decision, as my dogs live in my home with me, and not in a kennel. This includes my cat.
I will be asking for references, and will not ship her. I also need her new family to be able and willing to keep in contact with me.
I said I was growing her out when I kept her, but to date, I’ve never actually followed through on placing a dog I've kept before. It's the hardest decision I've had to make so far.
